I am literally coming off a cleanse/detox high right now, but truth be told… I’M STARVING!! Having planned everything out this past week for this detox, I figured I should start doing that with meals again. You know… like I used to do here [don’t mind all the terrible messes on this blog right now – like how the links don’t work & no pictures are appearing – we’re turning over a new leaf 😉 ].
Although the cleanse brought up a lot emotionally for me & tested me a bit in staying satiated, what really came from this was the PLANNING! If you’ve never tried out Plan To Eat [< referral link], then you’re missing out. You get a 30-day free trial to this site & it’s pretty much what got me through my cleanse. Everything was inputted into this website [recipes & all] + formulated a grocery list based on what I slid into my week of eats [or lack of eats this past week… haha].
I’ve decided to carry out the rest of my free trial [which ends beginning of Nov] & then decide from there what I plan to do – no pun intended ;). SO… the whole point of this post was to go over my meal plan for this upcoming week, since I’ve entered it into Plan To Eat & am going to hit up Whole Foods either tonight or tomorrow morn. I really do find when I look back & see the weeks that were meal planned, life just becomes SO much easier. Let’s get back to that 😉
Here’s what’s on the menu this week:
- Monday: Creamy vegan mac ‘n’ cheese
- Tuesday: BBQ tempeh quesadillas
- Wednesday: Some sort of black bean burg – right now I’m looking at a curried pumpkin
- Thursday: Asian stir fry with tofu
- Friday: Red lentil & chickpea falafels with rice & salad
- Saturday: Homemade pizza
- Sunday: Wing it!
These might get switched around a little bit if say I need the ‘Wing it!’ night earlier in the week OR life gets busy & we have to grab Chipotle instead, but here’s the plan, regardless. [Plus, I have some lunch ideas thrown in there too like chunky chickpea “tuna” salad & miso soup.]
Now I’m off to write out my grocery list & decide what takes priority first: cleaning my kitchen or going to grab groceries & destroy it even more. Probably the latter option 😉
