manuka + litsea essential oils

Never have I been so excited to see a new month hit in doTERRA-land as I was for August 2018. You see, this month you can score two oils FOR FREE that actually aren't available for purchase in North America. This makes them mega valuable + sorta feels like a 'once in a lifetime' opportunity (ok maybe a little bit of an exaggeration here, but still...).

This post is to help not only YOU learn how to use them, but ME as well because I literally just smelt them for the first time this morning. It's like Christmas morning all over again. I hope you'll soon see why that is too ;)

For those that haven't set up their doTERRA acct yet, let me show you how you can score these oils too (yup, it's available to everyone!)

Ok, now onto the oils!

Revered by the Maori people for its many invigorating properties, Manuka has been used for centuries in New Zealand for its plethora of health benefits.

How it's made: pure steam distilled from flowers, leaves, and stems of the Manuka tree.

How it smells: has a rich, spicy, herbaceous fragrance

👉🏻to promote feelings of rest & relaxation - roll on the pulse points

👉🏻use to ground and center energies while shielding yourself in preparation for deep meditation by rolling across the chest and/or bottoms of the feet

👉🏻 diffuse to help cleanse and freshen the air (pop off the top & let a few drops out into the diffuser)

👉🏻promotes the appearance of smooth, healthy looking skin so roll on the hands before applying your morning and/or evening moisturizer OR roll directly onto the face to get that glow!

Litsea cubeba is an evergreen tree or shrub belonging to the Lauraceae family. Its fruit produces Litsea—a lemon-like essential oil with a wide range of aromatic uses. Being native to East Asia, Litsea has a long history of traditional use by the indigenous people of Taiwan and has been widely distributed in Japan, Taiwan, Southern China, and Southeastern Asia. Due to its high content of geranial and neral, Litsea has many surface cleansing properties. Geranial and neral are also found in Melissa and Lemongrass and have very similar scents and properties. When diffused, Litsea can promote feelings of fresh energy to your day.

👉🏻energizing + refreshing - diffuse or wear on aroma jewelry or a scarf to uplift the mood

👉🏻diffuse during your next workout to help bring fresh energy

👉🏻take 1-2 drops internally (add to a cup of water) for antioxidant support for your cells + promotes healthy cardiovascular, immune & respiratory system (might calm the nervous system down a touch too ;)

👉🏻keep the skin clear by adding a drop to your face cream morning and/or night

👉🏻use as a spot treatment - apply directly on blemishes (I recommend before bed)

👉🏻 what to diffuse it with: lavender, ylang ylang, frankincense, geranium, bergamot, vetiver, sandalwood or cedarwood

👉🏻green clean with it - add 10 drops to your all-purpose cleaner to cleanse your countertops!
